Here is a remarkebly large Solnhofen - Ammonite of the genus Lithacoceras.This Lithacoceras offers a good preservation, it spins down to the inner windings. What is rarely the case especially on ammonites from the lithographic Solnhofen limestone.The ammonite it self does have a diameter of about 290 mm.
