Products description

This is a beautiful ammonite plate with several specimens of the species Trachyceras multituberculatum from the Upper Triassic of southern China. These ammonites come from the dark marl shales and limestones of the Xiaowa Formation, from which the articulated Traumatocrinus finds are also known. On the back of this plate there is actually also example of a fossil sea lily of the genus  The largest ammonite on this plate measures about 50 mm in diameter.  As a small special feature on the plate is an Aptychus (jaw apparatus) which is probably also to be placed with Trachyceras multituberculatum.
