Here is a fantastic trilobite double of the rare species Rielaspis elegantula from the Lower Silurian of Ontario, Canada.Rielaspis elegantula is described from the Jupiter Formation in eastern Canada as well as from Thornloe Fm. It is speculated that these finds could possibly be a still redescribed species or subspecies. This is just because Rielaspis elegantula was essentaly not known in articulated specimens from the Thornloe Formation. This showpiece features two complete specimens in an excellent and inflated preservation on a generously dimensioned matrix.Ramsköld & Edgecombe, 1994 :Revision of the silurian encrinurine trilobiteWallacia lamont 1978, with species from Gotland and Canada (DOI:10.1007/BF02989435)
