This pice shows a juvenile specimen of a long-arm lobster of the genus Mecochirus from the Lithographic Solnhofen limestone of Eichstätt. This mecochirus measures just 35 mm.
Juvenile specimens of Mecochirus are relatively rare in the Jurassic aged lithographic limestone of the Solnhofen region.
