This awesome Solnhofen Fish belongs to the extremely rare species Propterus microstomus.
The species Propterus microstomus belongs to the Holostei.
The fossil offers a remarkably detailed preservation and along with a very attractive colour.
This Propterus microstomus displays all fins well also the long ray of the back fin is preserved. The scales are showing the spines. This is a rare realy seen feature Propterus microstomus. This fossil does have a glued crack line along the body axis. The glue is colour matched to the fossil and long the glue lines are some minor restorations.
The fossils fish it self is about 89 mm long.
