Ammonites from the construction site of the ICE Train track Altenbanz in south Germany  These lower Jurassic ammonites were found in during construction measures of the tunnel for the ICE Train route in Franconia, south Germany. The excavation from the tunnel construction near Kulch was deposited in Altenbanz. This excavation offered fantastic conditions for the fossils – collectors. The exposure conditions in the Lias delta where temporetry as good as in the best times in the clay pits of Unterstürmig and Buttenheim. The most common finds include ammonites of the genus Pleuroceras or also Amaltheus. In this category of the shop we offer you a selection of beautiful ammonite specimens from the Lower Jurassic, Lias Delta age. Some of the ammonites still show the white mother-of-pearl shell. The pieces were professionally preserved with Mowelite. These are extraordinarily aesthetic ammonite matrix pieces from a temporary site.
