This is a fantastic fossil starfish of the species Geocoma carinata from the classical site of Zandt. This brittle star offers a very fine preservation and shows nicely on the decorative coloured limestone slap. The fossil it self measures about 46 mm, and it would be something like 80 mm in diameter if it would be completely prone.
