Here is a nice fossil fish of the species Allothrissops salmoneus from the lithographic limestone of Eichstaett, near Solnhofen. Allothrissops salmoneus is not the most common fossil fish species from the Jurassic of Solnhofen. Prone would this specimen be about 150 mm long. | |||
