This is a fossil dragonfly wing with coloured net structures from the Jurassic of Eichstätt near Solnhofen.  The fossil dragonfly wing belongs likely to the genus Mesuropetala. Dragonfly fossils are quite rare in the lithographic Solnhofen limestone even more are those that have the wing structures colourful preserved. The fossil itself is about 42 mm long.
