Products description
This plate from the upper layers of Painten shows two fossil hydrozoa or Hydromedusa of the species Palaequorea rygoli. The two Jellyfish fossils are accompanied by servile ammonite roll marks. Both medusa offer a fantastic and detailed preservation and measure about 44 and 46 mm in diameter.
All finds came from a relative small area in now not anymore exposed layers. Therefore are new find of this kind are more than unlikely. This Hydrozoa swarm was initially mentiond in the litriture back in 2006.
