Hier ist ein Agnostider-Trilobit der Art Itagnostus interstrictus aus dem Kambrium von Utah.
Diese Art wurde bisher unter der Gattung Peronopsis interstricta geführt. Elena Naimark veröffentlicht 2012 (*1) eine Revision von 116 Arten der Familie Peronopsidae. In dieser wird die Art Peronopsis interstricta der Gattung Itagnostus Öpik, 1979 zugestellt.
Beachtlich ist, das Öpik dieses Taxa als Untergattung von Peronopsis aufgestellt hat.
Die Typusart der Gattung war Peronopsis (ltagnostus) elkedraensis (Etheridge Jr,1902).
Widersprüchlich erscheint hierbei jedoch, das Jell & Adrain, 2002 die Gattung Itagnostus samt Typusart als ein Junior - Synonym von Peronopsis, fide Robison, 1988 klassifizieren. Jell, P.A. & Adrain, J.M. 30 8 2002: Available generic names for trilobites. Memoirs of the
