| This is a relatively rare Chancelloriidae of the species Nidelric pugio from the Lower Cambrian Chengjiang Lagerstatte. The family Chancelloriidae or the order Chancelloriida is an extinct group of sponge-like organisms restricted to the Cambrian age. The systematic position is uncertain, but apparently the Chancelloriidae actually seem to be most closely related to the sponge, i.e. the Porifera. | |||
