Products description

Here is an exceptionally detailed Naraoia with legs and antennae. The Naraoia is presented from the ventral side, and due to the shallow angle of the split, the legs with gills and the antennae are unusually plastically and detailed visible. A Naraoia spinosa of this quality from Chengjiang is rarely found. The specimen itself is about 15 mm long.
Naraoia is a trilobite-like arthropod from the Lower Cambrian. Although Naraoia is often mistakenly considered a trilobite, there are significant differences. Naraoia has a soft body without the typical three-lobed segmentation of trilobites. Nevertheless, it resembles trilobites in body shape and some morphological features, such as its carapace. These similarities and differences make Naraoia a fascinating example of early arthropod evolution. Previously, they were grouped with similar arthropods in the now outdated taxon "Trilobitomorpha" (sensu Størmer).
