Here is a fossil fungus gnat preserved in the cretaceous amber From Burma. (Also known as Burmite) The anatomy and the wing veins are suggesting that this specimen may belong to the species Docidiadia burmitica.
Here is a rare, fossil Staminate cone of the primeval sequoia Metasequoia occidentalis from the Oligocene of Montana. These are the male pollen cones. Also on the plate is a short branch of Metasequoia occidentalis.
