Here is a very large Locust from the lithographic limestone of Solnhofen. This specimen is a very good example for these large grasshoppers, there are some restorations made on it. The end part of the wing is restored also the mittle leg and parts of the abdomen. Interesting is that the end part of the abdomen was not preserved but the laying spine, the Ovipositor is pretty nice preserved. The rest of the animal shows a superb preservation and very high level of details. Especially the net structure of the wing is outstanding.
