This first class Scutellum from the Devonian age of Morocco shows a very fascinating bite mark on the head. That injury is located at the right librigena and also affects also the right eye. It is not impossible that this wound was deadly for the Trilobite because nearly all importend organs and vessels are located in the head region of the Trilobite like most arthropods. This specimen was caryfuly prepared to preserve a maximum level of surface details. A small part of the Pygidium was casted from the internal mould so that nearly all details are rescued. | |||
