Here is a true dream of a Arctinurus boltoni from the Silurian of New York.
This outstanding Trilobite offers a preservation that is nearly perfect. Actually is this fossil so perfect as a Arctinurus only can be. The Trilobite is nicely centred on a wonderfull plate that shows natural surface. The fossil itself is completely in substance preserved what is also very rare on a Arctinurus from the Rochester shale. The most specimens have some dissolved, eroded parts of the carapace so that these have to been conserved and partial casted from the negative. But this is not the case on this beautiful trilobite. It also doesn’t have any restorations or reconstructions what is remarkable for a trilobite of this size.
This Arctinurus boltoni is defiantly one of the best that where ever been found.
The plate is about 300 x 245 mm large.
