Here is a large predatory fish of the species Caturus furcatus from the classical jurassic site of Solnhofen. Fossil fish of this size are very rare in the jurassic limestone of Eichstätt. This specimen is a inexpensive example without any restorations on a unbroken plate. The fossil itself is about 410 mm long.
