Here is a lovely brittle star of the species Furcaster palaeozoicus from the classical site of Bundenbach. The fossil shows a attractive posing on the plate and a very fine preservation. One of the arms shows an partial regenerated injury, pathological fossils are known from Bundenbach but they are quite rare. This species had approximately a span with of 120 – 150 mm, the maximal size of the fossil is about 80 mm. | |||
