Products description

Here is a outstanding specimen of this very rare trilobite from the ageing of Pembrokeshire.
The fossil is on a wonderful piece on banded shale.

The bright layers are volcanic ashes. This ash layers are also called Bentonite. It is very interesting that Porterfieldia is also been fould in the United States. 

The typus species of Porterfeldia is Porterfieldia caecigenus (RAYMOND, 1920) that was been discovered in the Athens Fm of Virginia.
