Here is a rare water spider of the species Chresmoda obscura with all six legs from Solnhofen.
The first left leg is deformed to the right but completely preserved. This specimen shows a rarely visible detail. The right wig is opened, in the most cases wings of Chresmoda obscura are over the body and not visible. The insect is without legs about 28 mm long.
All in one is this fossil a interesting and quite inexpensive example of a Chresmoda obscura from Solnhofen.
