Products description

This fossil cockroach of the species Lithoblatta lithophila from the lithographical limestone of Eichstätt offers a fine preservation. Especially the head region is nicely preserved.
It is unusual and interesting is that the back part of the body is dislocated. We have here maybe a exuvia that was floated in the Solnhofen Lagoon.

The insect does have a wingspan of 27 mm.
