Zamites feneonis belongs to the grub of cycad or palm ferns that are also a kind of living fossil like the Limulus. It is interesting that Zamites feneonis was able to drop the end tip of the leaf. This Zamites specimen is exactly such a dropped leaf tip.
The fossil it self is about 34 mm long.
