This fossil cockroach of the species Lithoblatta lithophila from the lithographical Solnhofen limestone offers a extremely rich preservation. The fossil insect is shown from the ventral body side. This fossil let see the legs and the fine net structures of the wings, even the segmentation of the antennas is well visible. The Lithoblatta itself is without the antenna about 18 mm long.
