This Eifel Trilobite of the Genus Gerastos shows mostly the non tuberculated glabella of the species Gerastos cuvieri. But this trilobites shows also partial a quite strong developed tuberculation that lis typical for the species Gerastos granulosus. It would be highly interesting to see how the quantitative relationship between Gerastos cuvieri, Gerastos granulosus and these apparent “hybrid like Trilobite” in relation to the stratigraphic age behaves. How ever it seems that there where never such kind of reserched where done at the classical site of the Pelm-Salmer Way in Gees or other Eifel localitys of similar age. | |||
