This is a very small "Eifel - Trilobite" of the species Geesops schlotheimi from the classical site of the Pelm-Salmer Weg near Gees. This trilobite is already a adult holaspis stage but anyway its compound eye still shows a reduced amount of lenses. This trilobite might inspire in the speculation how mush the lens pattern formula at trilobites of the family of Phacopidae is related to there size or (and) age. | |||
