Here is a rich "Ammonite - Concretion" with Eleganticeras elegantulum from the Yorkshire - Coast. One of the ammonites shows a clear bite mark at the beginning of the living chamber. Such bite injury’s are frequently seen on ammonites at exact the same position. It seems that this behaviour belongs to at least one ammonite predator. The largest ammonite measures about 41 mm in diameter. | |||
