This is a Eifel Trilobite of the species Geesops schlotheimi in a nearly completely prone posing. The trilobite does have both eyes nicely preserved and it is on a displayable piece of matrix. The trilobite was found at the classical, today inaccessible locality of the Pelm-Salmer Weg near Gees. | |||
