This unusual see urchin of the species Schizaster scillae was found in the miocene of Sesimbra in Portugal. The fossil shows a lost of substance on the lower side that looked like it was maybe filled clay from the locality. This is a good and detailed example of the species Schizaster scillae with a small repair in the bottom. | |||
