Here is a rare example of a lace wing (Neuroptera) of the genus Mesochrysopa from the lithograpical limestone of Eichstätt. It beleogs most likely to the species Mesochrysopa zitteli (Meunier, 1862). The fossil insect itself is about 30 mm long.
