This is a fossil dragonfly wing that most likely belongs to Mesuropetala muensteri. The fossil wing shows a very clear bite mark. Traditionally are this kind dragonfly bite injury’s suspect to be created by Rhamphorhynchoid pterosaurs. If Rhamphorhynchus realy is responsible for this injury is of cause not probable. But there are numerous dragonfly fossils with this kind of bite marks known. The dentition of Rhamphorhynchus matches with these bite marks. The fossil dragonfly wing is about 43 mm long.
