Here is a nice and prone "Morocco - Trilobite" of the species Gerastos tuberculatus. The recently established sub species Gerastos tuberculatus marocensis is discriped from the Maider - Basin and from the Jebel Zguilma. In 2005 Stacey Gibb describes this new subspecies in her publication of her master degree thesis. However in the “Zguilma Paper” (Chatterton et al 2006) is this subspecies also mention as nsp. Presumably, there was overlap in the review and publication of both work. How ever it is not complatly clear if this trilobite is to account to subspecies Gerastos tuberculatus marocensis Gibb, 2005. Aditonaly it is unlikyly that there is only one subspecies of Gerastos tuberculatus in Morocco. | |||
