This is a fossil shrimp of the species Carpopenaeus callirostris from the cretaceous of Hakel in Lebanon. Carpopenaeus callirostris is likely the most common fossil from Hakel. Often this shrimps show intense coloration’s to enhance the fossil. This specimen of Carpopenaeus callirostris is however absolutly free of all kinds of restaurateurs or coloration's. | |||
