Here is a wonderfull fossil limulus of the species Mesolimulus  walchi from the lithographic limestone of Solnhofen. This limuslus offers a very detailed preservation together with a nice and natural colour of the spines. The inflated preservation of the limulus is underlined by the skilled preparation of the fossil. The fossil horseshoe crab it self measures about 128 x 75 mm.
