Here is a very nice fossil gastropod of the species Athleta (Volutospina) spinosus with color pattern preservation. The preserved colour patterns do show very well under ultraviolet light but they are also visible under normal daylight. The Athleta (Volutospina) spinosus is abut 41 mm long. | |||
