Products description

This is a very rare "Utah Trilobite" of the species Altiocculus harrisi from the Wheeler Shale Formation.  The trilobit offers a nice and detailed preservation.
This Altiocculus harrisi is accompanied by two small  trilobites of the species Bolaspidella cf wellsvillensis.

The trilobite also belongs into this matrix as the following documentation illustrates.

In the original condition is a suspicions spot of  artificial resin filler with obvious air bubbles visible around the trilobite.

After dissolving the resin in acetone, and the careful cleaning  the trilobite with
the micro air braise unit is the negative of the trilobite visible. This is without any doubt the original matrix of this trilobite.  The structures on the underside of the trilobite trilobites can literally snap into the pit. As a key into the lock.

Therefore, the trilobite was again carefully fixed in the matrix and the matrix cleaned around the trilobite. The result speaks for itself and is in every respect a positive surprise.
