Here is a example of a very rare "Eifel Trilobite" of the species Pedinopariops laevus. This cephalon is indent a real Pedinopariops laevus. Sometimes damaged specimens of Geesops schlotheimi that have no shell on the glabella are been offered as Pedinopariops laevus. But even on the cephalic internal cast of Geesops schlotheimi is the granulation more corse than it is on Pedinopariops laevus the case. Of course does also the eyes do absolutly misfit with Pedinopariops laevus. Rückert & Klever, 2007 published the lens pattern of Pedinopariops laevus as 18 vertical lens rows with a height of 8 – 9 horizontal lesnes. | |||
