Here is a spezial specimen of a fossil echinoid of the species Microcyphus rousseaui. This capsule of Microcyphus rousseaui was threaded on to the sting of another sea urchin genus, so to speak. This is a natural embedding and to no assembly. Here is a special specimen of a fossil echinoid of the species Microcyphus rousseaui fron Egypt. This very aesthetic fossil shows a very rare preservation of the organic pigment Fringelite (or may also hypericin as well) in the original colour pattern. The preservation of fringelites is on echinoid extremely rarely seen. On crinoids fossils it is Fringelite a little more often preserved but it occurs anyway only under special embedding condition. | |||
