| This is a nice and detailed double of a Eldonia berbera from the Ordovician of Morocco. The Eldonia do have a diameter of approximately 75 & 85 mm. The plate shows on the backside a interesting Bioturbation horizon as well. These softbody fossils from this locality are mentioned by Van Roy in 2011 as Tafilalt - Biota. This conservation deposit must be considered as a important locality of Palaeontology. It does show that some "Burgess Shale" like faunal elements also are occur long after middle Cambrian period | |||
