Here is a detailed "Solnhofen Limulus"  of the species Mesolimulus walchi in a inflated preservation. This is also a pathologic fossil that shows a interesting injury. On the right side of the opisthosoma are some spines missing. This injury was already partial regenerated.
It was most likely not the cause of death for this horseshoe crab.
The limulus it self measures about 77 x 147 mm.
