This is a remarkable trilobite specimen of the genus Selenopeltis from the Ordovician of Morocco. This trilobite comes as a split pair together with the counterpart, so we have a nice positive and a negative side as well. The trilobite shows a nice and authentic preservation: It is absolutely free of any kinds of restoration or colorations. What certainly can’t be said for every Morocco Selenopeltis. This specimen could belong to the species Selenopeltis vultuosa Pribyl & Vanek 1966. There is also as a small bonus a partial cephalon of Nankinolithis on this fine plate. | |||
