| Here is a good exemple of a Dickinsonia costata from the White Sea Region. This Ediacara fossil measures about 7 x 6 mm. The systematic status of the genus Dickinsonia is still controversial disputed. Even a association with the Fungi or a completely unknown kingdom where discussed in the past. Mostly accepted is status of Dickinsonia as animals (Metazoa). This shows again how different the "Ediacara Fossils" are from “modern” life on earth. | |||
