Here is a compleate enrolled morocco trilobite of the genuns Reedops friom the Pragian Mhersh site. On the fist glimpse this specimen looks like a Reedops cephalotes hamlagdadianus Alberti 1983, especially as the cephalon is just partial visible on this trilobite. But the eye has way to few lenses. This specimen has 22 columns and a maximum hight of 7 lenses. This fits also not is Reedops cephalotes algericanus Alberti, 1983. Schraut discripes in 2000 a the subspecies ein Reedops intermedius chlupaci that shows some affinity to the specimen. How ever this roller Trilobites offers a very detailed preservation and it is nicely presented in the centred of the natural shaped matrix. As a extry shows the backside of the matrix some Selenite crystals. | |||
