Products description

Here is a nice Trilobite cluster with three specimens of Ellipsocephalus hoffi together with a non trilobite Arthropod of the genus Forfexicaris. The genus Forfexicaris was initially described from the Konservat-Lagerstätte of Chengjiang. How ever Forfexicaris valida Hou, 1999 was known in two specimens from the Maotianshan shale. Surprisingly are members of the Forfexicarididae not that rare in a international frame.  The are today known from the Jince formation as this specimen or even from the kambrian of the US or Scandinavia along with numerous other sites.
It seems to be likely that those soft body fossils where just not recognized as such in the past.
This Forfexicaris fossil mesures about 12 mm and the largest trilobite on this plate is about 16 mm long.
