| Here is a large and quite rare trilobite of the genus Tysanopeltis from the Devonian of Jorf. It is likely be an exuvie. Presumably, the trilobite hatched to the right of the old exoskeleton. concretic and micritic limestone benches of Jorf pose a special challenge to the preparation. The separation between fossil and matrix is only slightly developed. Often the preservation is simply poor. This specimen offers a good preservation and a good preparation for this locality. | |||
