From the Devonian of Bundenbach is here a nice example of two brittle star fossils of the species Furcaster palaeozoicus. Both ophiurroid are manly preserved as negative. Nerveless many details are good preserved. The larger Furcaster is nearly prone and measures impressive 125 x 230 mm as is on the plate. This would have become a dream fossil if the counterpart would be preserved. But it is anyway a nice example piece that demonstrate nicely a typical finding situation for Bundenbach Fossils. | |||
