Products description

Here is a inexpensive example e of a rare fossil lobster  of the species Pseudastacus pustulosus from the Lithographic limestone. Pseudastacus pustulosus is actually very rare from the late Jurassic of Solnhofen and Eichstätt. The upper part of the plate is replaced from the original matrix.  The two pincer fingers of the upper scissors have been shaped from matrix on this speciemen, Colouring of this restoration was deliberately avoided. This makes more sense for a fossil that is offered for sale. If prone wound the crayfish be about 70 mm long.

Eichstätt, Solnhofen, Germany
Size of plate:about 137 x 121 mm
Age:Upper Jurasic , Malm zeta (about. 150 Mill. years)
