| Here is a fossil fungus gnat preserved in the cretaceous amber From Burma. (Also known as Burmite) The anatomy and the wing veins are suggesting that this specimen may belong to the species Docidiadia burmitica. The fossil insect it self measures about 3 mm. | |||
