Here we offer a spectacular American beauty featuring significant tail fins and fantastic red colour. As a special detail and highlight, the pairs of muscle scars on the pygidium are excellently visible. And as it suits for such an exceptional specimen, it comes along with a length of 7 mm. This is a rarely seen dimension of this in the Wheeler Shale rarely appearing genus, especially if you keep in mind that these animals are supposed to have lived pelagic in the open water column. Only few individuals offer this detail level of preservation. Finally, this is an absolutely fantastic specimen! |
