| Here is a beautiful Morocco trilobite of the genus Cyphaspis. This specimen can best be compaired with Cyphaspis cf. khraidensis sp. nov. sensu Van Viersen & Holland, 2016. These and similar Cyphaspis species are often offered commercially as Cyphaspis boutscharafinense (Alberti, 1981). It should be noted that the authors Van Viersen and Holland are familiar with the publications of Alberti and nevertheless they do not relate this taxon to any current finds from the Devonian of Morocco. The present trilobite specemen offers a beautiful and detailed preservation. The UV Picture shows also its fantastic finding situation. | |||
